Father's Day!

It should probably be no surprise that I am not a big fan of Father's Day . . . I have really had to force myself to be more open to celebrating it for the sake of my children and for John. He really is a good Daddy. He is a great friend and loves to play. I truly believe Dad's are just overgrown children anyway. After getting up and eating a yummy breakfast, John wanted to go for a drive. We don't seen to do that very often anymore, probably because I am usually sleeping trying to recoop so I can pretend to be a normal Mommie for a couple of days before my work week starts again. John decided he wanted to drive the Alpine Loop and stop at Cascade Springs. I love driving through the canyons . . . it is so peaceful and beautiful. We had such a fun drive . . . and only had one kid throw up . . . luckily towards the end of the drive!

Look at how well they pose!

Don't you remember being so carefree!

See, overgrown kid!

Everyone wanted to climb this tree!

Haidyn . . .

Caitlyn . . .

Even the boy!

Love Cascade Srprings . . . it is so beautiful!

Aren't they just cute!

Of course I couldn't get Caitlyn to be serious in any pictures..

Love this picture!

Doesn't it look like they are having fun?

Oh, how sweet! A cute mom and her cute kiddos!

Me and Dilyn...

Daddy and Dilyn, self portrait!

Isn't it beautiful!

I think John had a nice day . . . we came home and had a grilling fest of salmon, asparagas, and baby red potatoes . . . Oh, plus I made rolls and they turned out SO good, even if I do say so myself!

Happy Father's Day John, hope your day was fabulous!

Duh!

Last night it was my turn to bathe the boy . . . our conversation went kind of like this . . .

Mom, "Brevin, lay down so I can get your hair wet."
Brevin, "No."
Mom, "What did you say?"
Brevin, "I said no."
Mom, "Brevin, you don't tell me NO. Now, lay down."
Brevin, "No."
Mom, "Brevin . . ."
Brevin, "Mom, I'm playing . . . DUH!"

Thanksgiving Point

Brevin had a field trip to Thanksgiving Point with his Preschool class . . . John was kind enough to take the morning off of work so Mommie could sleep. He took Dilyn with them. Looks like they sure had a fun time!!

This is where little children belong . . . at least until the reach the age of 18.

Brevin LOVES horses!

Poor little Dilyn looks like an orphan . . . she is not fond of having her hair done.

On the little wagon ride...

I'm a little worried with how close he is to that Llama!

Everyone wants to ride a sheep . . .

Yep, everyone!

Do you see the JOY on his cute little face?

Such happiness! Thanks Daddy for taking our cute kids! They sure had fun!

Happy Birthday Caitlyn!

It is official . . . we are now the proud parents of a TEENAGER! Aahhh! Where has the time gone!? It seems life it was barely last year that they placed her in my arms and said I was ready to take her home from the hospital! And I remember thinking . . . What? I can just take her home? No one needs to make sure I am okay to take care of her? Then after those first two weeks I remember thinking that it was the LONGEST babysitting job EVER! And I was ready for the parents to come home and take their baby off my hands! She was a bit colicky, and I was not sure how to deal with her. And now she is 13 . . . and she cries on occasion . . . and I still don't know how to deal with her. :)

I am so proud of this girl . . . she is strong and capable and sure.

She has an amazing sense of humor. She loves to laugh and she loves to make those around her laugh!

She got a camera for Christmas . . . and she loves to take pictures of herself . . . and anything and everything!

Caitlyn is an amazing student! She is loving Middle School and loves all of her friends!

Caitlyn is a fabulous big sister . . . even if she tries not to be on occasion. She is responsible and conscientious of other.

Caitlyn loves to dance. I LOVE watching her dance! I love watching her facial expressions and love seeing her fun personality come out as she dances!

Caitlyn is a dedicated dancer . . . she only had ONE absence at dance for the whole year. She works hard and pushes herself to get what she wants!

WE LOVE YOU Caitlyn . . . it is an honor being your Mom and Dad!
